Zanzibar

Zanzibar was in the old days, when the Dutch, French and English colonists rounded Cape The Good Hope, the first place that was safe for them to anchor up because of the local tribes in Mosombique, South Africa and Madagascar. And the problem encountered the Aribic sailors comming down from the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. Also the Indian and Chinese ships arrived on Zanzibar. Ill sailors brought merchandise in from all corners of the world and Zanzibar rappidly developed into a world trade centre. And today it is quite clear that all of these different culturs each contributed to what it is today. A very interesting place!! French architectur, Arabic castles, colorful clothing from India and China, Islam, Catholics, protestants, hinduism. And the people are obviously also a mix of white, yellow and black. So if you are interested in cultur you really should consider this little pearl called Zanzibar.
